2002 Ford Explorer Sport
Hello,
I own a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport and I was just wondering if anyone knew what this was for. So far, no one I asked was able to give me a better answer than "I'm not quite sure..."
Sorry the picture quality is a little shabby.

That's not factory so no once can tell you. Trace the wires or just turn it off and on and try to see what changes

I'm gonna guess aux lighting, or a high power audio component.

^no point in guessing. It looks pretty rigged up so I'm guessing its something else. (starter, headlights, ect)
To the OP, you should atleast move it, that might not feel good if you get in a wreck.

Ive only seen that kind of switch and mount in aftermarket fog light sets, but it could be for anything. If it doesnt seem to do anything, I would disconnect it. Make sure everything works after that, cut the wires off short and tape them up. Other than that trace em' back to their source and disconnect them.

They probably removed what ever it was for before selling the truck.

Thats what I thought cause that's how I did all mine
