Hello all,

I removed the dust shield to diagnose a scraping sound when I am turning and after re-assembling the rotor and tire I noticed this on the ground. I'm not sure where it came from or where it goes. The cap (the dirty end) turns and wobbles. Does anyone know where this goes?

Thanks in advance!

That is a one way dust shield for the end of a vent tube
probably for the front differential.
follow the tube to it's end and push it back on there--

Looks like a breather. Check on the axle and bearing hub (if front) for a hole on the top if found just clean and put back in best to use some permatex or equivalent so it won't fall out again
what turdle said i'm just slower

Thanks for the fast replies. I dunno how it fell out, lol. The hose was by the upper control arm and frame.
