Ijust took my rear (interior) plastic quarter pannel out on the passenger side so that I could see about installing my JBL stealth sub stuff. My explorer came with the cargo pocket there instead of the sub, so I wasn't sure what I'd find. This was plugged in where the sub box will be (oem location). What is it? Ford part number 9641 or F57F-18T806-AB

That you be the amp for the speakers. When I put my sub back there I just move it to under the rear seat.

Thats a pretty sad amo tho. my stero cant power my aftermarket TMA's.

That's what I thought it was, but other vehicles I've had have put the factory amp under the dash, close to the head unit. Mounty - are the wires already run back there to slice in the oem sub, or did you run your own wires (power, remote, ground, av...)?:navajo:

I have an after market HU so I ran my own wires.

Same here, so I think I'll be doing the same as you. How do you like the sub back there? I'm used to huge subs and amps in little imports, but this time I'm just looking for better sound quality.:navajo:

That looks great! Thanks for the help guys...I'm gonna go splice and dice.
