Depends what type of mood I'm in. I listen to mostly country - and thing some Rock and then some classics. I also listen to Folk, some rap, jazz, and bluegrass. Yes, I'm very diverse.

Now, if you want to test say a component system with tweeters, mids, and highs and all the other goodies -- the best music to test all of those : JAZZ! There is no other music that will play every type of sound that could come out of the tweeters, mids, and highs. If you want to hear a good SOUNDING (not the hardest hitting) system, then put in some Jazz and test its frequencies.

Au contraire, there are some insane/awesome classical works that blow jazz away! :p

Can't beat classical music haha

Mostly country and 80s. I like anything with a decent beat and even branch out into disco, classical, and others.

Techno, Drums n' Bass, Rap, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Disco, House, Classic Rock, Some alternative, Trance, 80's, and Top 40 are among my favorites.

But I also like Blues, Jazz, Classical, and other instrumental stuff.

Basically, nearly anything but country... With a heavy preference toward electronically generated stuff with a good beat.

I have very eclectic taste in music. I decided I wanted my Ipod to reflect this (It's all I listen to in the car) so I have basically all forms of music. Country, rock, reggee (spelling), Rap, hip-hop, hic-hop (or "new country") blues, oldies, folk (alices restaurant ), classical, classic country (marty robbins) and soft rock ect. As for Ipod's If anyone has itunes, I recommend checking out the free downloads each week. there are usually at least two and at 99 cents a song even if you only end up liking one song a week that's getting $52 a year in downloads. I know I'll get ridiculed for this, but if you want to test a sound system the artist I usually go for is Celine Dion. Ok stop laughing and let me explain. Her songs, like "my heart will go on"... Although we all got sick of it when it came out. Has slow and fast tempos, moderate bass, good vocal range and horns and that whistle thing that tests any good high end tweeter and midrange.

Both kinds - Country AND Western.

So you don't like ANY rock?

I seriously listen to EVERYTHING expect gospel. It makes me mad when people say they listen to everything, but when you put it on something they say "I dont like this". I can honestly say I listen to EVERYTHING. But more old school rock more than anything.

Im With Scape Goat, HXC and Death metal. But Sublime also sounds damn good with two 12's in the back. There is nothing like pulling up to someone with a system here in Long Beach and Blaring Between The Buried and Me with their double bass drums... haha, blows them away. Will also set off car alarms. :)

in this order

country 90% of the time

rock(all kinds old/new punk..ect) 5% of the time

rap(you just gotta bump sometimes lol) 5% of the time

Fusion, Rock, Jazz, Heavy Metal, Classical

Cannibal Corpse and **** Kunt...sometimes alittle **** Blast also. :D

nah i like that stuff but i also love scream-o, metalcore, hardcore, death metal, black metal...anything metal really ;) but i also like hardcore rap like Hieroglyphics, Jedi Mind Tricks and such but right now im kicking "Converge - You Fail Me" "God Forbid - Gone Forever" "DMX - Flesh of my Flesh" "Jedi Mind Tricks - Legacy of Blood" "Roni Size - Return to the V" and "Dredg - El Cielo" in my 6-disc cd changer.

I should have been born in the 60's. Gotta love The Stones, Zeppelin, Floyd.Youv'e also gotta love Lynrd Skynyrd as well. I also like new stuff to, but don't tell my kid....LOL.

hahaha YES! I like having on Prayer For Cleansing. People look at me like i "worship the devil"

There is not a whole lot that I do not like, but for the most part I seem to be stuck in an Indy music mode currently. Of course many others mix in to that at times. But that is my primary musical interest at the present time.

Getting tired of rap... I need something else like high energy, techno, trance, or something upbeat.

I don't really like anything else. Oldies are cool, but for some reason I dont want to blast oldies while cruising with my windows down, it doesn't sound right to me.
