I'll disagree with some of what he said,
Direction DOES make a differance.
If the clay is picking up ANYTHING those things will leave super fine scratches.
When I clay, wash and shammy dry I always go in one direction. Same direction each and every time.
Front to back on the hood, left to right on the sides and rear.

Also I use more lube than a spray. I wash with dawn than create a new clean bucket also with dawn and use that as a lube. Then I wash again with a third new bucket of dawn. I use Meguars car soap for all subsiquent washes however. I only use dawn if I am claying and applying fresh coats of Zaino.

I did the clay bar thing and waxed and this is what the end result was...

That is original paint, 16 years old when the pic was taken. I did the clay bar process and then followed it up with Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax. Good stuff, I highly recommend it. I'm gonna do the same thing to my dad's f150 when the weather warms back up.

very, very nice, but why do you have a house painted on the side of your explorer?

:D
:P

I was watching The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross and felt inspired... :D

Also quick question, Best place to buy it or a kit?? Local Wal-Mart and like stores don't have any.

I bought the wax at Wal-Mart and the Mother Clay Bar kit at Schuck's, a local auto parts store...

I've been a fan of Meguiars for a long time...currently using the NXT wax...I've also used Mothers and 3M products. Still a fan of Meguiars.
