What rear is in my 2000 Explorer Sport?

I have a totaled 2000 Explorer Sport, and someone was interested in the rear. I am trying to get as much information as possible. It it an 8.8? LSD? Gears? Thanks.

It's an 8.8. But you have to tell us the rest. It could be 3.73, 4.10, lsd, or open. Check the code on your door jamb.

Its a 31 spline Ford 8.8 with disc brakes.

the door sticker, axle tag, or trucks VIN can be used to find out what gears it has.

There is a tag on teh diff cover that will tell you the gear ratio and whether or not it is LS.

You can also rotate the pinion and count the rotations at the wheel/rotor to get the ratio
