What Stock Gear Ratio?

That's my question too. Is it possibe to have 4:56 in the rear Diff, amd 3:55 in the front. What would be the repercussions of this setup?

Yes this would be detrimental. Think of it as the front going slower at first, but going faster after speed has picked up. Transfer case and transmission would be taking all the stress.

You can have a little bit of a difference, usually .01 at the most. Some trucks have had up to a .05 differece without issue.

i dont know anything about ratios so im assuming this is good? my truck is pretty peppy as far as off the line goes but hit 3rd gear and its weaker. is this because of the gear ratio?
