I am looking to get a new Throttle body for my 98 5.0 and I am looking into getting a 70mm from edelbrock. Any suggestions?

Thats a good one.
Edelbrock TB's are high quality.

What are you gonna do about the MAS?

The TB will help the throttle response, it wont gain your a bunch of HP but it does change the throttle response.......You will like it on that 5.0

MAFS...

I have one on there off a Mustang Cobra but I will probably put a Granatelli on there.

you might wanna check with Troll/Blk Mk8 on this one. i asked this question a while back, and there is some serious adaptin' to get a stang throttle body to work on an X. i did remember them saying to get one for 88-93, and NOT for a 94-95... hope this helps.

I think he means he has a Mustang MAS sensor on there...not the TB.....

yea, i know... but if he's talking about getting a throttle body for a 5.0 X then he will have to adapt one from a mustang. no one makes an aftermarket throttle body for the 5.0 explorer... just the 4.0's.

OH I C, at least not with the factory Explorer intake right?

naw, its not the intake, really. from what i understand its the throttle linkage and a couple of sensor hook-ups. i could be wrong on this, though. i dont think the intake would matter, as the 5.0 X intake is the exact same thing as a Cobra intake. the only difference is the badge plate- on the X it says "Explorer 5.0", and on the cobra it says "Cobra" and has the snake emblem.

I would waste my time or money on a tb. You already have a 65 and that is more than enough for an explorer. I know you have a blower and all but you still have stock heads and cam so until you change those don't worry about the tb. Buy a smaller pulley for the blower.
