This weekend it is going up to 6 deg C (about 42 F), first time since november that it has been much above zero for a weekend. I'd like to get one coat on but can I wax at that temp or are there going to be problems.

I figure i will do it in the sun so that hopefully it will be a bit warmer.

Thanks

I'de say that too cold, try 55 F +

dont do it in the sun.... It will streak up and stuff.

42 degrees is too cold. You need at least 55, 60 degrees in order for the wax to work at the optimum level. If you have a garage and a heater, it'd be awesome.

never, ever evvver ever ever wax in the sun like boomin said...it only makes things harder for ya

Okay, I guess I have to wait for a few months.

Thanks.

Yay!! Spring break starts next weekend...that means a major detailing session with my truck. It really needs some TLC. It still has the salt from the ice storm a month ago then more salt from the ice storm a couple of weeks ago...and even more salt from the snow storm a couple of days ago. I will definitely show lots of pics when I'm done. The count down clock starts ticking...now!! :D

Tell me about it , my damn shocks are stuck in NC.
Don't you guys have carwashes there? I atleast take mine every chance I get when it's above freezing if only to just get the salt off.

Yeah...we have carwashes here. But I don't feel like paying too much money for just a little rinse. I went to a coin op and did a spray for $1.50 and got most of the loose stuff off but there's still a thin layer of salt stuck on there that requires a good scrub with a wash mitt to get them off. Also, I don't have the time to do anything b/c I've been very very busy with school and girlfriend. So like I said...clock started ticking for the countdown to next week. I'll have sooo much fun working on my truck!! :D
