A box of Ritz and a bottle of your favorite peanut butter and you and your X can have a picnic. Let the peanut sit on the tar and bugs and the oils will break it down and make it easy to remove. The Ritz are for you to spread the peanut butter on because doing this will probably make you hungry.

lol, i like that one!

if you run outta ritz though you can actually buy a little pack that has tar/bug removing towls in them. They work pretty damnin good too.

Wd-40.....

thanks for the help guys I will look for them wipes if not i will get the peanut butter ! FOrgot to mention i dont have an X anymore I Have a 98 blazer sport thanks guys !

lol, good thing you told us about the blazer AFTER our help!

j/m... i dont know about them but im not partial to any vehicles. i was soo close to buying a blazer but someone got it 15 mintues before me!

i love my X though so it worked out :D

yeah I had a 94 xlt but i blew the motor in it and i couldnt justify stickin any more money into it so i traded it in for my blazer so far is has been a great car and gets double the gas milage the explorer did but that coulda been cause the motor was going south on me to

Oh you didn't say Chevy. You better make it something fancy like Triscuits or something like that.

i heard that bologna works real good on blazers for removing tar ;)

actually, i just use that bottled tar and bug remover at wally world, it works pretty well.

hey now I just like the blazers if i could afford it I woudl have gotten a f_150 or a superduty chevy has nothing when it comes to fords pickup trucks

Best stuff is Isopropyl Alcohol. Cheap and effective.

I use simple green myself

I prefer Bug and Tar remover in the white and blue can. It can remove overspray, rust spots, and many other things without harming the paint. Not a big fan of the wipes. I actually used them today to remove some paint and scratches off the mower, but it seems like it's more work than the white cream out of the bottle. Just a gentle rub with a clean rag and turning frequently gets anything off.

what would work to remove the layer of wax on my truck for a couple touch up spots? woudl the bug and tar remover work for this as well?

To remove wax, try a 50/50 mix of water and alcohol.

Simple greeen will remove any and all wax, just add to you soap and water and wash your X

Sea Foam "Bug-B-Gone" its a new product from Sea Foam .

I use the turlte wax bug and tar remover, comes in a metal blue and white can, someone may have meantioned it already. Works well for me, rubbing alcohol should take the wax off.
