hey guys. ive been looking throughout this forum and realized that one thing my truck lacks is in the rims. I want new ones! haha however i do not have alot of cash. Heres the deal. Im looking for something, tires and rims, that is not expensive but looks good. probably around 300-400 for both. I have a bright blue explorer, cleared out front and back and alot of black on it. ill have some pictures soon. Im wondering what you guys think i should look at. For the most part it will be a daily driver but i would like to start getting into offroading. No lift, 92 XLT. WHat do you guys recommend? i know theyre are soo many possibilities but i figure you guys have seen alot of rims and can pick out a couple. thanks alot!!

31's are the biggest you can fit without a lift or trimming

Steel wheels are the cheapest. I have the black wagon wheels and I think they look better than the stock alloy wheel, my preference. The aluminum wheel are more expensive, but offers a performance improvement. The lower the unsprung weight, tires and wheels, the better the stop and go peddles will work.

I agree with unclemeat. Go on google and search for rockcrawlers. They are black rims made by U.S. wheel and dude I've hardly seen anything that they didn't look good on. As far as your price range you should probably try to find some used rockcrawlers because it would cost you like 200 to get the wheels and have them put on if you bought them new. As far as tires go... that all depends on what you do. If you offroad every once in a while or just street driving get some some AT's. Can't go wrong with BFG AT or Dueler AT. If you wanna get into offroading a lot you need some mud tires but considering you have a 2wd and are probably going for looks, some AT's on black rockcrawlers should look cool. Here's a picture of my rockcrawlers on MT's. Hope this helps.

that really helped thanks alot. so rockcrawlers on BFG AT's, it looks really good on your truck. any other ideas?

Summit, 4 wheel parts, Desert Rat, almost any tire shop or wheel store can order them, also if you havea Pep Boys, ive seen them there.

I reccomend Summit racing. They have really good prices and dont try tojip you on shipping.
