What's a good 12" sub?

eeks! I should have done more research on subs then. I thought 75oz was allot for a magnet. That should be good enough for a nice bump though. Did i mention that it was made out of Carbon Fiber and aluminuminuminum.
Are you guys into SPL competitions or normal everyday systems for clarity?

I paid like $120 each on sale. I Just got in their carbon fiber/aluminum 460 watt rms 4channel amp. All I'll say is SWEEEEET! Built in crossovers, high pass low pass full switches for front and rear also has a line out so you can plug in another amp in series. This amp was so heavy I thought it was the subs. All for $220 shipped
I'll keep this one and let ya know if it sucks.

Running them at 2ohm in series and they hit so hard that we all had headaches!haha

did ya get em at cicuit city(coustic subs), the one near me has them, didn't sound bad, but the amp they had to em was crap.

the 4 XE's that I just got supposedly have a 70oz mag, yet are very big, and can take a lot of power...

is your amp 500 watts peak or rms? you need to match your amps rms wattage to the subwoofers rms wattage. also remember your amps wattage changes when you bridge it per ohm of the woofer. i have 2 12 inch rockford fosgates and they are great. never used any other type so i can only opinion them. well i hope i helped you out.

off topic.. but i was just readin this thread.. and about weight of your subs.. my 10 inch sub weighs about 25 lbs each. and i have 3 of them..
the one 12 i want to get weighs between 30 and 40 i believe.

wow thats a heavy sub! here is a spec sheet. can you guys post spec sheets of your subs so we can compare.
