I'm thinking of selling my X. . .I know, I know, but I can always get another. I am thinking $6300. Am I too high, too low or just right??? 03 XLS flex 4x4 with recent tires, 85k, everything works, vg condition not excellent. Thanks in advance for your input.

Might be a little low, but I'd check www.kbb.com and see what they list as Private Party value. Another source is www.nadaguides.com although they tend to be a little more generous, and not quite as accurate.

I see '02 XLTs here with similar miles being advertised at dealerships for $9995.

I checked the auction reports, and they're quite vague as to trim levels, etc. but there were some '03s that were being sold at wholesale for just a little less than you want out of yours. The typical dealership would buy them, add an average of $1500-$2000 markup, then add in what it takes to get it set up and lot ready.
I'd check some of the local dealerships online thru www.autotrader.com or similar site, and get a feel of what the market is. Try to price yours just a little less than the average dealership is asking for theirs.

I've checked kbb and nada. I was a little off on the mileage, it is actually 87k. Maybe I'll start at $7,000 and go from there. I paid a little less when I bought it 9 months ago and have put on 25k.

It's really a good vehicle, just my commute is putting dollars out the pipe. The wife and I might just swap vehicle for the next year as well. Thanks again for your input.

I agree. I just sold my 95 XLT and 97 F150 within $500 of KBB PPV. I replaced them with an 01 Expedition and an 05 X within $500 of KBB PPV. It is really close to what the market will support.
