What's my stock gearing in my explorer ?

How do I find out the stock gearing of my 95 4.0 OHV with mnaual tranny is?

On the door sticker it will have a 2 digit code under "Axle"

Then run a search here for the code list under "axle ratios"

A D4 is a 3.73 limited slip. Probably what you have.

It says 45 under axle...

Althought it very rusty I think the tag on the rear diff reads 355

I got lucky and have factory 4.10's and LTD Slip on my 1999 Limited X. Thank God for the D2 Code!

Look at the tag that is bolt to the rear diff cover. Mine had *355* punched on it
