What's normal gas mileage?

I took a trip over the weekend, 200 miles straight HW. With the AC on, & going 75mph. I got 17.2mpg. Is this good? normal? bad? Just wondering??

I get 21 mpg going 70 and 18 when going 75. Speed kills mileage.

Travis, I hate you!!!!!! LOL I get about 320 miles in 20 gallons. On my trip (2 hour drive) back to school last weekend, I got about 19 mpg at 75.

I get about 17 around town and 23 on a run, best I got was 28.

Since I live far away from home up here, I'm getting about 350-395(most ive ever gotten) out of a regular 17.5 gallon tank. Not too shabby for any truck with 137K.....

i get 220 if i am lucky out of a tank.... well, my o2 sensor is shot and i hot rod it most of the time.... k&n and flow 40 make it faster. and louder

That seems a little low. I recently went on a similar trip (250miles) and got 19mpg going 70-75. I have the 5.0L V8. I'm beginning to think that with the weight of these vehicles that the V6 has to work pretty hard to move the vehicle, hence very little if any mpg gains vs the V8.

I went home and came back to school this past weekend (700 miles roundtrip) and I averaged about 18. On the way back I only got about 17 but I averaged 75-80 and had a pretty strong headwind the last 75 miles. If I do 70 with no AC I average about 20. So your about right.

hey guys with 5.0 v8, i'm curious about your mileage in city driving (stop and go traffic). i usually get around 11 -- 13 miles/gal.

as far as long distance trips, i have not measured my mileage.

That sounds about right. My city is 12-14mpg.

Same her with my 5.0 V8 in NYC stop and Go. I dont get more than about 220 for a tank of gas...

I get 12-14 city and 17-19 highway. This all depends on my driving habits.
