What's the biggest tire you can go with on the stock rims? Maybe I can save myself some money..

31x10.50x15's are common, do you have the 16" or 15" wheel? If you want to replace the stock wheels because you don't like the look of them, you could consider painting them. Several people have done that.

For the most part, you can mount whatever size you so desire on the stock rim. I think some people have 33's and 35's on them. Where you would run into problems is if you were trying to run a 31x12.50x15, because there isn't enough sidewall height for the tire to "balloon" to the width.

Hey thanks a lot for the quick reply and the info. I'm not really sure which ones I have. For some reason I think 16" but I really don't know.

Do you have a lift/are you going to be putting one on? I would say that is the biggest consideration if you want bigger tires, not if it will fit on the stock rim. For the most part, you won't have any problems.

Yeah I'm asking kind of for future reference. I'm thinking about doing the 3" PA Body lift, a tt, and some warrior shackles.

You'll want wider wheels with 33x12.50's, otherwise the treadwear will be horrible and the tire will rub on the sway bar. Your stock tire is probably a 16x7. You could probably fit a 265/75/16 stock. 15" tires are MUCH cheaper, but not all 15's will fit over the brake calipers, you have to test fit them to be sure.

On a 16x7 rim how wide of a tire could I go? I was thinking a 32x11.50x16 on my stock rim. 3" TT, Warrior shackles and short AAL. Could I fit these tires? Or even better, could I fit bigger? I looked at the sticky thread for the tire chart and size and lift thing, but I want something more up to date. Thanks.

I have an 05 and just did the 3" pa BODY LIFT. I am putting 285/75/17's on 17'x8" rims. The stock rims (16"x7") are not for 33" tires, so you will need to buy at least 8" (width) rums. Go to any tire shop and they should be able to answer the questions and show you the tire/rim combos that would work for your truck. I got the new BFG MT TA KM2. They are a 33" tire and only .8 narrower than a 305/75/17. I also went to 17" instead of 16" rims due to the offset because of the body lift. The rims would have to be a special order. I also went with black steel rims ($71.00) at discount tire versus the more expensive ones, because if I ruin one off-roading...they are not expensive to replace.
