can the wheel bearings be regreased or do you have to replace the entire hub assembly?

i have tried to search for this and cant find what im looking for, i am about to replace my lower ball joints and would like to clean out and regrease the hub bearings if thats possible so im trying to gather all the information and materials i will need before i take this thing apart.

if they can be greased or oiled or whatever, what kind of grease do i use?

i was mostly thinking about the front bearings, but i am also curious about the rears? i would probably do those too if thats possible.

thanks

4 wheel drive hub bearings are sealed and are not made to be greased. Rear axle bearings are lubed with gear oil.

However, if you are 2WD, the front hub bearings can be removed and reloaded with grease. The front bearing comes right out as you pull off the hub; the rear bearing is behind a grease seal that would have to be removed and then replaced.

alright, thanks everyone.
