I am looking to put my summer tires on stock 17" Explorer wheels (truck has stock 16" now) . How do I find the offsets of these wheels?

Welcome to the Site.

Pretty much, you measure from the inside rim to the rotor mating surface.

Try using the Search feature, there's more info to be found.

wheel offset/fitment

I need to restate my question. My 02 Sport Trac has 16" wheels. I can get my hands on the identical looking wheels, in 17". Is there any way I can check to see if these will "fit" my truck? The part number is 2 L 24-1007 BC/CC ALSO 2L 24-1007 CD/BD.

Is there anyplace I can look up Ford part numbers on the web ?

thanks

offset

The bolt pattern is 5 X 4.5

But I do not know what offset or backspace I need to look for, if I want to move up to a 17" or 18" wheel. I cannot get a straight answer from any wheel/tire vendor.

thanks

Use the same offset as your current wheels unless the 17's are considerably wider. To insure an accurate measurement of your backspacing, lay something accross the the back of the rim, then measure the distance from the mating surface to that point.

thanks for that help..will do.
