We are going to be in South Nags Head, posibbly a run down to Cape Hatteres.

I called around to a few places nobody stocks them locally. I ended up ordering them from Tellico4X4 for 55 and some change.

I bought a set from Pep Boys(Hot Rod shackles) for 17 bucks and crossed braced them with some 1 inch square tube and a bolt through the center. They have been on for about 4 years now.

Not I. My tranny is making wierd metalic noises and shudders in reverse from time to time. I think mine is going in for a major tear down. I am going to rebuild my tranny, try to replace the rear main seal on the motor and have been kicking around the idea of a SAS. When I webt to Crozet, I bent 2 out 4 drop brackets in the front.

crozet is harsh man. i tried to drive their "stock" trails, and that didn't work so well. i stopped at the first go-around because i had destroyed both of my side bars, and put some large dents in the gas tank. next time i go back, i'll hopefully have a solid front axle hahaha...i wish.

okay i bought a 2000 x to drive every day and possibly do a lil playing around. I have a set of bfg a/t going to be regular size 16''. I would like to maybe meet up w/ you all around sometime this fall possibly a trip down to the outer banks for some sand riding. How much trouble will i be in w/ this truck!!!

Bobby Crawley is talking about a September trip with his club, near Alta Vista. That might be my next trip.

Just air down to maybe 15 or 20 PSI and you should not have a problem. Most of the time you can make it in 2WD, hell I've seen cars down there cruising up the beach. Driving on the sand is kinda no fun after the first trip unless you are going down to enjoy the beach as well.
