Where can i get some TT shackles?

after joining this site i saw all these sick lifted Explorers, and ive been wanting to lift mine for awhile now...
ive seen many mentions for shackles...
...what can i do, besides tightining the torsions, to the front end?
...where can i get some?

Good screen name but your 1 and 2 are mixed up.

The only thing other than twisting the torsion bars is to buy a lift kit. If you are 4wd then you have Trailmaster and Superlift to choose from. Then for the back to match search for Warrior shackles part# WAR153.

If you are 2wd then you can get some 3" spindles and twist the torsion bars for about 5" of lift. Then you can get the shackles and some aal (add-a-leaf) for the rear to match.

I bought shackles for my explorer on ebay. They are the same as everyone else's but cheaper.

There web site says they are not DOT approved... not sure I would put something on my Explorer that could be a huge safety risk.

I got my shackles from www.desertrat.com I calld them as the shackles weren't listed on the site. I asked for the warrior 153's and the guy said "for the explorer." so he knew what was up right away. got them quickly and haven't put them on yet.

Got mine from Desert Rat too, if I remember correctly. I would go with the Warrior ones and not any knockoffs. You're getting a very high quality product and you're not paying that much more. Mine were like $60 shipped.
