Since BFG has that price lock thing where all dealers have virtually the same prices on the KO's, was there anything else that made you buy where you did? I'm looking to buy soon. Thanks.

A Discount Tire in my area had a mgr interested in 4wd who got me a "discount" by giving me back a tradein allowance for my used crappy Firestones for way more than they were worth. Discount Tire also has better warranty/road hazard etc than NTB in my area.

I got mine at Winston Tires here in San Jose, CA, because the service was good. Mounting was free and they also offer lifetime rotation, balancing, and replacement warranty in addition to the BFG warranty for a lot less than the other shops around here ($7/tire). I got 4 32x11.5x15 out the door for about $520.00 with all the items mentioned above.

I bought mine at a local tire store called Tire Source because they were $89 apiece (31x10.5r15) mounted and balanced. Someone had put them on a pathfinder and they rubbed on the mudflaps, so they brought them back for smaller ones. They had had them for less that 3 days and when I got them, they still had the little rubber feelers on them and the blue stuff on the lettering. They were in perfect condition and the manager gave me all the applicable warranties. Their warranty was the best in town too. Free road hazard, fixed flats, balancing, etc. for the life of the tire. Also, it was the only place in town that would trade me even for my stock spare tire. They gave me a used Cooper AT tire of some sort (good to excellent condition) mounted and balanced in exchange for the Firesonte ATX I had on there. In short, I bought my BFG's there because the service was excellent, they were willing to deal, the warranty was as good as any, and the price was excellent.

I bought my TKO's from 4wheelparts in Oakland, CA

Why? Becuase I also needed rims, and Big-O wanted 3 times what I wanted; and, I didn't to have tires & rims shipped to the apartment complex (you should of heard them when the lift kit showed up..)

Cost? just a hair under $125 per tire (when I said "BFG has these under a price protection scheme", the mgr said "No problem, we sell them at the lowest price then.." (I also had printout of web site pricing, and they was matching that too!)

Anyway, I bought rockcrawler rims (15x8x3.5bs, $49 ea), and 5 tires (so, yea, I do have a spare now!) plus install ($60 for mnt & balance).

Later!
