I have a stock '93 XSport and am looking to make some suspension mods. I'm pretty green at this but am good with a wrench. So y'all, looking for some lift and tire profile change. What do you think.

Thanks.

Have you tried searching?:D

Hey,

First off.... welcome to the site... you will love it here.. everyone is great and will give you more help then you will ever need... as far as your question try doing a search.. you will come up with a lot of things to help you..

agin.. welcome =)

How much lift, and is your sport 2 or 4 wheel drive?

Hey, thanks for the welcome.

She's a 4wd with 116,000miles. In terms of lift I'm looking to get a few inches more of ground clearence and get the body a little higher. The stock suspension is shot. Again I'm pretty green at this so not too sure on what my options are.

Thanks for any pointers y'all may have.

If you are looking at just a couple of inches, then Skyjacker makes a 2-inch lift. It comes with new front coils, and a heavy duty add-a-leaf, cost under $200.00's.
You can also run your stock shocks with it, and fit 31 inch tires as well. Of course the more you spend the higher you can go. I am sure others here will also offer suggestions, and try the search feature, it has tons of info.:D

A real cheap 2 inch lift are new shackles for the rear and coil spacers for the front. total cost is around 50 bucks. Then you will be able to fit 31's.

I would then get a body lift if you want to get some ground clearence to fit bigger tires then 31's.

Heres a link to body lift kits http://www.truckperformance.com/veh...&sortorder=ADA&sf1=FORD&sf2=1993&sf3=EXPLORER

and you can go to www.performanceproducts.com for the shackles and spacers.

BTW: use the search button ... its very effective if pointed to the correct forum when you are searching

Thanks guys! I'll check it out those links.
