where do I hook up the OBD II scanner?

Ok, my 02 is throwing a code and I know how to use my OBD II scanner, but I can't find where to hook it up on my 02 exporer. I've used this scanner on a 00 GT, a 03 focus, a 97 tbird and others, but I can't find the hook up on my explorer! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Should be under the steering wheel.

On my 05 Exp it is just hanging ( not mounted ) beside the emer brake release

I remember reading that it had to be within arms reach of the driver.. so you know it won't be too far away from the column..

Put the back of your hand on the brake pedal and move your hand away from the pedal slowly until you reach the back of the panel that hides the fuse box and wires. There, you should see...
