Ive never done any mods to any of my past vehicles and I'm not quite sure where to start and what it is going to cost me. Ultimately I think I would like to do 4" inch suspension lift on my XLT and put it on a 33" tire. I've seen some great Explorers that have a similar set up in pictures on the forum. HELP! I don't have a ton of cash to spend. If I have to avoid the lift, what would be the max tire size that I can put on the stock 15 inch rim? Any advice would be appreciated.

I just bought a 2000 as well. I picked up a 3 inch body lift from summit for $160 and rear warrior shackles (about 1 1/2 inch lift) from tellico4x4.com for $65.95. The front is free with a torsion twist to match the rear. 4 1/2 lift for dirt cheap compared to the 4 inch suspension lift kits. The body lift is for a 98-2000 ranger. Hope that helps.

Thanks! That is a huge help. Cost is the #1 factor in how I'm going to do this so any way to keep the $$$ lower the better. I appreciate you taking the time to get back to me.

I have the same question.... I have a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT V6 OHC and I cant find a lift kit anywhere.... I am only looking for a 2 inch lift..... Please help me

The front is free with a torsion twist to match the rear.

the twist is free, but the alignment needed afterwards is not
did you get yours aligned after the twist?
