Can someone tell me where and how to put in a ECU in a 96 Ford Ranger?

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed, and moved your thread to the Ranger section. The computer is located in the upper part of the inner dashboard on a bracket. The bulkhead connector is in the engine compartment, and is held in with one bolt.

Look at your firewall under the hood, just below the top in the center. Looks like a big ass plug going into something. That is your computer. At least this is where mine is. Hopefully you don't have to pull your dash to get to it.
