Obviously all our X's are working fine... :D I know mine is at that moment. Must do the ATF and filter change though when the weather is warmer.

wish mine was  :(

bloody nightmare!!!...took into a company to have it fitted, they said it would take 1-2 days. 2 days later they called to say they had my X in bits, and had just realised the bolts were missing for the kit. The then informed me they would have to put it back together as they did not have the space, but they would wait for the bolts. A few weeks later they told me they would charge storage and wanted £670 for the work already done!!!...at this point I fell out with them, so they told me to pick it up. By this time the MOT and TAX had run out so I borrowed a trailer. On getting it home I realised that the back end suspension no longer pumped up and down, and the whole suspension alignment was out, making the X undrivable. I have been in dispute with them ever since. Unfortunately not having a clue myself, and now not being able to move it easily means it is just sitting there looking at me

Oh dear what a sorry tale. Hope you can get it all resolved soon. I wonder what they did to the rear. After all its only new leaf springs. What a bunch of dorks.

Hey Bruce

Does your North Face have CD auto changer fitted as standard I can't remember if the did?

it does :D

Yes, I think the boot mounted 6 CD player was standard fit on the North Face models

Bruce,
I would dearly love to get my hands on your Ex and it's lift kit. Jeez! How difficult is it to get hold of a few 'missing' nuts and bolts? What a set of muppets!

got the bolts now :D just got to find someone to fit it now

Hi UK Explorer
Just a thought mate, but I had a car in the shop for repair a few years ago and the road tax ran out. As it was not on the road I did nothing about it, deciding to retax the car once the engine was rebuilt. Guess what??? The road fund license gestapo fined me, I sent a letter explaining where the car was, with supporting letter from garage, and gave a phone number, but they said "so what, pay up or we will take you to court"!!!!
Another nice situation from Tony's henchmen thugs :fire: :fire: :fire:

If I were you I would send off the SORN ASAP so you don't fall foul of them too.

Good luck

Keith

thanks for the thought....done that already
