Where is the dang PCV valve??

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you guys have


I've been trying to locate the PCV valve on a 98' Explorer with a 4.0L V6 SOHC. I have no idea where it is. I tried following this pic from another post by sparky2263 of the forum but it's from a 99' 5.0L so i don't think they really match up.

If you guys have any info at all I'll be happy as hell to take it.

I have another picture from AllData, this shows my truck and the right engine but I still don't understand where it's pointing to...

it is way down there-in the rear of the lower intake manifold, right in the center.

Should I just like stick my hand back there and pull it up? Do you know of any hoses I can follow to it?

The pcv hose is a 1/2" diameter hose leading directly to the rear of the lower intake manifold-
