I have a 1999 ford ranger 4x4 3.0. I have been having 4x4 problems. Basically does anyone know where the electric shift relay is? I have the ford wiring schematics, I'm looking for the single relay, not the electric shift control module which is basically 2 relays in a chip form which is behind the radio. The single relay release the magnetic clutch inside the transfer case and thats what i'm having problems with.

any help is appreciated

I am not 100% on the 99 Ranger but all the electric shift or 4x4 relays I have ever seen are in the large power dist box under the hood.

my ranger doesn't have one in the fuse block under the hood. thanks though
