Where is the factory amp in a 97 explorer XLT

I am going to bypass the factory amp with a bypass harness. I am installing a new ALpine 9811 head unit. Please tell me where the factory amp is and how to get to it. Thank you very much.

Hi there

I have a 96 explorer, the amp is behind the rear quarter panel trim on the passenger side. The trim is a royal pain to get out - good luck!
