I've heard of the 3.0 being dubbed as the 'gutless wonder' but this is uncanny. I'm usually good at problem solving/troubleshooting cars. But here's the deal. I got the truck a year or two ago, and the guy thought the car was just slow and I figured it was just a MAF sensor or TPS. Nope...the motor revs up great, a little bit hesitant but nothing bad, and I DO have an exhaust manifold leak, which I was just told could be my problem. But I give this thing gas, once it's in gear, and it takes off as if I'm outside pushing it down the street. Then once the RPMs get up there it's not so bad. Plus, I've gotta keep the pedal to the medal to keep it at 65 on the highway. What is wrong with this thing??? PLEASE help me out.....Oh, I'm new here, I'm Mike by the way. My truck is a 93 ranger 3.0 4X4.

Maybe you got a caliper sticking or the ebrake is froze?

I bought my 99Ex for a great price with the 4.0 SOHC and it didn't run worth a crap, did a full tune up and cleaned the MAF, TB and all and it still was a slouch. Come to find out my E brake wasn't returning and was half applied! Fixed that and it came to life! Got a ton more MPG too!

Well, my brake light is definately on, and it has been ever since I bought it...I'll get back to you and let you know. Thanks.
