There are 4 door speakers BUT where is the sub-woofer?

It has a 160w JVC Receiver/CD unit and I'm pretty sure the stock speakers are toast, so what's a good but reasonable replacement for the stock speakers?

Something that can handle anything from Classical:o to Head-Banger Metal.:banghead:

MTX Subwoofer and replacement speakers

The sub-woofer should be in the back on the right hand side. MTX makes a direct replacement unit for the sub-woofer and should also have replacement speakers. Check www.SuperTruckUSA.com and search MTX subwoofer. Hope that helps.

if your ride has the sub it should be in the rear cargo area pass. side

if you look over there and see a basket/net deal then you got no sub.

right now i am running 20/pr. wal-mart specials in my truck and there doing just fine
but then again i am running only the 45 watt pioneer stereo

Got the basket, so no sub.... thanks.

I assume the door speakers are all the same size and OEM rating?

I haven't pulled the other grills so I'm not sure what is causing the speakers to crackle and buzz, and distort.... EVEN while playing CDs. Gets worse as you increase the volume

You can always add an OEM enclosure and aftermarket sub...

...i believe your distortion is from the existing stock amp and speaker wires......the stock amp is located behind the plastic panel to the left of your basket...;)

I had that same problem...you need a highpass filter...My old alpine deck with the factory amp sounded like crap because the speakers just can't handle any bass at all

gotta remove the whole rear panel...its a pain in the a$$
