Is there a company that makes a 2" hitch adaptor to fly a flag on a broomstick from. I have a large flag that I would like to fly from my rear. I have thought of the bumper hole, then thought someone out there must make a hitch adaptor!

hmmm, i'm sure a local welding shop could whip one up for a few bucks, but i've never seen a comercial one for sale.

That's what I am thinking but I am not sure what it should look like

What about some threaded rod with a washer and a nut on both sides of the hole in the bumper? I don't have a hitch on mine, just the stock hole for the ball-type mount.

Get the rod thick enough so that it won't bend too much but if it does, it'll bend *away* from the rear window unless you do most of your high speed driving in reverse...

Just a thought.

I was thinking the same idea. I pictured somewhat of like a very thin PVC pipe that fit through the hole, with some bolts both above and below the how to hold it in place. The only problem with that idea is that it's fairly "permanent", as in you can't take it off and on easily, and therefore can't open your tailgate until this whole bin Laden thing blows over.

There has to be a way....

You could also try to attach something to the roof rack, if you were so inclined.

Hmmmmm....
That's why I decided just to go with the red, white and blue ribbons on the antenna. Not only were flags darn near impossible to find back when all the schmidt hit the fan, but the fraying ribbons don't look as blasphemous as a fraying/fading flag. There are a lot of those flying right now, unfortunately.

I'll keep thinking, though!

Q: What is the Taliban's national bird?

A: Duck

Q: How is Bin Laden like Fred Flintstone?

A: Both may look out their windows and see Rubble.

The flag I am looking to fly is way too big for an antenna. I will have to keep a lookout as to how others that fly their flags from the bumper do it

I've never seen anyone fly a flag from their bumper. The closest I've seen was a pickup that had the flag attatched to the fifth wheel in the bed. But maybe you'll have better luck than me.

BTW, I liked the jokes. Here's one:

Q: Why are there no Wal-Marts in Afganistan?
A: Because there are so many Targets.

Last night I come out of the mall with my friends and noticed that some SOB stole the flag off my truck. I had it attached to my grille guard on the front passanger side. First some @$$ stole the big flag off my house and now this. I just can believe it.
Also, I was in a restroom at a restaurant the other day and I noticed something hysterical. The deoderizer in the urinal had a picture of Bin Laden's fqace on it. Only in America. LOL

Who steals an American flag? That like defeats the whole purpose of displaying the flags.
