Ok, here's my latest problem. Started about month ago.

92 ford XLT K&N filter

When I am at a complete stop and in gear. I get a hicup at idle. No hesitation at start up. Just a hicup every 3-4 seconds as if its a miss.

as soon as I slip the car into neutral or park, truck idles fine.

Recent work includs pulling the MAF and running High test for a couple of tanks to solve the pinging problem. Started a month ago.

Replace wires (advance auto) and installed platinum plugs 9 months ago.

First, dont double post.
Second, did u clean the MAF?

Check the idle air control (IAC) valve. Might be sticking. It's been a somewhat common problem with Fords. If you do a search on IAC here you should come up with lots of info.
