Which Transmission

HI,

How do I find out which transmission I hav in my truck. On the Ford service CD it lists 3 different tranny's with the 96 XLT. 4R44E, 4R55E, A4LD, and 4R70W. Is there a tag somewhere that tells the type?

I believe you have either the 4R55E if you have the 4.0L or the 4R70W if you have the 5.0L V8.
