Whining noise in 1st gear. Help please!

hello i just got a 2007 explorer and when i take off from a stop i hear a whinng noise comming from the pass side and as soon as it shifts to the next gear it is gone..does anyone have any idea what this can be. thanks you

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 2006-2010 section. Check the vacuum lines for a leak. In older vehicles (pre throttle by wire) the IAC could make a train sound. Your vehicle has the throttle by wire set up. You might have a clamp loose on the intake near the MAF or the air filter.
