Whirring tranny noise?

I have had an odd whirring noise appear after some services. I did a tranny pan drain and refill, so about 3 qts or so. I did not drop the pan, just drained it. I also changed the power steering fluid at the same time for what it’s worth. The noise seems to be from underneath, increases with engine RPM then seems to go away after getting to temp. Any thoughts? Anything to worry about? This tranny is one that has the known whistling noise that now seems to be replaced with the new noise.
Should I do a full fluid exchange and see what happens?

i have a 2007 v6 with the 5r55s, i did multiple pan drops and refills on it trying to solve an issue, never used less than 5 quarts. are you sure you did the refill process correct? i’m pretty sure you have a different trans then me so i could be totally wrong

Thanks, I’ll double check but I filled it up, got it to running temp and then let it drain until it dribbled out per everything I have seen on how to do it. Do you do something different? I have the same 5R55S.
But since it seems to go away after getting to temp maybe I didn’t get quite enough in there?

was it running when you let it drain? Yes it needs to be warmed up AND running

Thanks for the reminders, it was level but not running. I have watched the video before, and done a drain before but forgot the important details!! I’ll add some today the right way, hopefully that will solve it!
