who makes a throttle Bodie for SOCH

99 Sport 4wd 4.0 SOHC
Can't seem to locate one for the year of 1999 4.0 SOHC, is anyone else having this problem? is there a guy out there that cammodify the stock one

You may be able to work with the stock unit or fit one from another Ford block.
Some research is required. :)

I have seen all kinds of TB used on different engines with a little machine work.

Also with the 2.9L it was very popular to use the 86-87 throttle body (larger then other years of the 2.9L @ 58mm) then machine the lip on the leading edge down with a dremmel, and machine the butterfly a little. I have even seen the bored out to 60 or so mm and fit with a new larger butterfly from a different engine. So itis just a matter of looking around really!
 






The SOHC Tb is already a 65mm and is good for just about any N/A application. Thats why there isn't any in the aftermarket just yet. Later Doug904.
 






Is the Throttle Body on an OHV 4.0L smaller than that on a SOHC 4.0L
 






Yes, the OHV is a 58mm and the SOHC is a 65mm. And no they are not interchangable.
