Wholesale Purchasing

How do you feel about wholesale products, sound wise. Less quality due to brand names? I have Pioneer speakers and am thinking of getting a 10" and was curious if a wholesale amp would make a difference? It is hard to resist 1200 watts for $150 out of the wholesale catalog. Any experience with this or reccommendations would be great...Thank you.

I'd say go for it if you're not competing. The only thing to watch out for is that the amps are probably overrated. I bought a Boss Rip-995 for $200 and have had no problems with it and it gives me the power that I need. It says it does 1000 watts per channel at 4 ohms. I only wanted around 500 watts a channel, so I figured that if it is overated, I'd still get the power that I wanted.
