That show rocks! I just caught up with this post today. I've also caught up with Family Guy a bit, thanks to the hard work of the wonderful cartoon network! i'm glad it's on 5 nights a week, but i just wish they kept the original 10pm start. i say anyone who enjoys the hilarious cartoons of adult swim (i could care less about the anime) is cool with me! I saw the steve martin skit too. he's still the best host snl has had in my opinion...

oh yeah...this is a 4x4 post...ok! i need some buddies up in VT to wheel with!!! no one is around here enough!! besides me, it's all skiers and college kids. i feel lonely. there's a sick-lookin range rover around woodstock here though. winch, skid plates, what look like 35" tires, the works. damn it looks uncomfortable to ride in! ;) anyways, i'll shut up soon. i DO know i love my truck. it's an excellent daily driver, the tranny is 94k miles old and has NO problems! (crossing fingers). All i really want to do for now is a mild lift to fit 31's, GET some 31's, some swaybar-disconnects, and heavier-duty shocks. preferrably something tough enough for trails (like rancho's), but that are much better than average upgrades in terms of street-hugging...ANY SUGGESTIONS??? :p (i'm still up for shocks and rear-lift methods aka add-a-leafs and/or warrior shackles)

latah!!

I've never been verbally abused by a Land Rover owner, but I was insulted by a Land Rover dealer today. I went to look at a '01 Miata LS today that a Land Rover dealer has, and when we sat down to crunch numbers, the dealer offered me $500 for my '94 Miata (needs some work, but was just inspected, and very drivable. The dealer in question is over 80 miles from my house, so it's obvious that the car runs and drives). Needless to say, I got up and left.

Okrazie1 I could verbally attack you!;) ;) See it is my and many others experence that the rover dealers are very nice and friendly. By the way did you go to any other dealers to see what they would give you for it. Just a thought

Yea, thats what dealers do though....I have never heard of gettin a good trade in value for a used car from a dealer!!!

dealers can bite my shiny metal ass!:p

I went to the dealer today to get some info, and i converted a Jeeper into a rover guy. I was so happy!!!!

Anything is better than a J**p!;)

Really? If so, I would most likely drive a Disco I today! No need to warm up old stories, but Land Rover Richmond obviously did not needed my business.

YouAreTodd, I resent that comment :p :D

A simple equation I learned about Land Rovers: Front Brake Job = $600.

Not to be too partisan; the new disco has an automatic hill descent thing that uses the braking system to ease it down slopes. Funny thing about it: it does it when your foot isnt on the break. I had a hard time grappling with that as I was coming down a 30 degree slope into a river, and the pro crawler who was spotting for me said "take your foot off the brake," as I was headed into the drink. But it just eased down the hill, and I wasn't doing the breaking.

Sorta took the fun out of it though, not to mention the skill.
