crappy tires?

nope has new good year all weather, my friend has the same exp but with 4wd, and its very nice in the snow, and ice this one sucks it has to have somthing to do with the awd.... i think

Explain why it "sucks"

Does it want to oversteer or understeer in corners?

Does it lack traction when accelerating?

hmm, before i swapped my tranfer case i was going through 3 feet of snow with my AWD. I think its your tires, goodyear all weather isnt something to be desired.

Why it sucks... i dont mean sucks like i wish i didnt buy it i mean sucks, like ill prob end up killing my self in an accident

when im making a turn the back fishtails, im sliding all over the place, and feel like there very little traction, and stopping...... i would almost swear to god there is no abs, but i know it works

and theres really not a lot of snow

Tires..tires...tires...

The tires will make or break how your truck behaves in the snow. If the design isn't right for snow, the tread will pack in and it will be like you're on ice skates. My old '01 Explorer came stock with Goodyears and they were horrible. Put a set of Bridgestone Dueler REVO's on and it was great in the snow.

this is what pisses me off, when i went to get new tires they guy was telling me these were amazing in the snow, to get them. that sucks, hope it ant the tires

I've never had good luck with Goodyear tires on anything.

so a set of Bridgestone Dueler will fix the problem?...

I've never run a Bridgestone truck tire, but I've had good luck with Bridgestone car tires on my Mustang and my old Taurus. I considered Bridgestones when I bought my current truck tires but I didn't like the lack of side biters. That may or may not matter to you.

I bet it is your tires. I have Goodyear RTS and they do a very good job. I really like the way it handles. I find it a little hard to play around in because you have to get the front tires spining to.

I had bad tires, then when I switched them I couldn't believe the difference it made with snow traction. Many times where with the old ones I would have been sitting there spinning, my new ones didn't slip a bit. It is actually hard to get them to break loose, unless it is really slick, whereas my old ones I would have just been sitting there spinning.

There are too many different types of snow to relate to but in general, the stuff that falls around the freezing mark is usually the slickest.

And yes, tires tires tires :D

well after about 30mins and a couple tanks of gas, i figured out its really not that bad. i went and screewed around with it in a parking lot.

1st its 1000 times better in heavy snow than and 1ich of icy snow
2nd if im very(very, very, very, very) easy on the brake its fine stopping
3rd the fish tailing and not traction im thinkin maby has to do with the engine(not the actual engine, but a little too much power at bad time) but if i even tap the gas my wheels are spinning, and my friend driving becide me sais my wheels were spinning out a lottt

i guess the new tires would help a lot but, i just got these thursday, some im not chcuking them and buyin new ones, but next time i need tires ill go for the bridgestones
