how do u get it to do that?

Only thing I could guess would be for leg comfort for people with longer legs. Helps supports the legs maybe?

Because it doesn't like you??

Isn't it supposed to do that? Adjustable thigh support.

wow i am offocially jealous for some reason, i have no idea if my seat does that or not, i have no idea what it would be used for, and yet i am somehow jealous :D

Yea its suposed to do that I guess. Its got teeth, and a handle on the front. I always wondered what the handle was for. So last nite I gave it a good tug and out it popped! Passanger side does this too. I guess its for leg support too. Kinda comfortable with it out a little. But looks flat out dumb! :D

you know i've had my x about 2 yrs and have seen the same thing on mine and finally fulled it a few days ago to find the same thing :)

Yea, I've been pondering the handles purpose for over 2 years too!

i was wondering what thos things were for lol, i thought they randomy put a bar there.

That is the head rest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha!

i remember finding out i had them on my seats the day i took them out and put my new leather ones in..DOH, oh well, too late then.

You got the extra option of leg support in your seats. Not many of those around, especially the leather ones. Don't get rid of those, LOL.

my 93 eddie bauer has those leg supports in leather but the bad thing about them is that in between the seat and the leg rest there is a piece of leather that catches all sorts of crap and its hard to clean

my eddie bauer seats had those! didnt find that out until i had them sitting in my room last december!

They are common in the Mustangs, from 90 on up, I think, I know my 90 has them and the 91 I had b4 that had them as well. I think they are called lower lumbar supports.

That thing is way cool! Are they optionals on leather seats too? If yes, I'll be looking for a lever tomorrow morning. ;)

WHOAHHHHH:eek:

Mine does it to, i always thought that bar was for grabbing when jumping the truck:D

No really i did, i thought it was a grab bar......

I gotta know how you found out that they did this? Were you just sitting in them one day and blap!

I was cleaning it out last nite, and it wiggled a little bit, and so I grabbed the handle and gave it a good pull. And WAM! Out it popped.
