- 2007 Explorer XLT V8
Hey all,
I recently picked up a 2007 XLT V8 for a decent price. Fairly clean with a little wear and tear. One of the options that drew me to this vehicle was the AUX jack, so I could plug my phone in for music (mind you, this was a big thing for me coming from a 2004 Ford Snorus that only had a cassette player in it). Turns out, it doesn't have one. The spot it's supposed to be is just a cubby hole.
But then I got excited again, because right in front of the area with the missing AUX jack, what looks like a factory emblem for SYNC is there. Then I got sad again because apparently they didn't offer them in the 2007 models. The stereo is still OEM.... why would someone put a SYNC badge in their car if it didn't have it? Unless I'm missing something here. Either way, it's frustrating. But I guess listening to MP3 ripped CD's is better than a cassette deck.
