Wider Tires = Lower MPG?

Lets put this in perspective. I went from a stock 15x7 to a 20x10 and I lost 1/2 MPG.

I think jjue hit it on the button. Without using the scale, the new wheels couldn't have been 10 more lbs than the old one. Plus I went from steel wheels to alloy. Here are the old and new tires btw...
