take off the antenna and poke it through the rear hatch and press the unlock button in the rear hatch with it.

the explorer will lock the doors after you get in and start it, yes its normal.
Spare key or keyless entry code are good ideas to have, if it happens once it will most likely happen again.

But she had a spare key and it would not turn th lockmaybe the spare key is no good..My question is shoud a key open the door from the outside when engine is running and doors are locked..

yes
a door key will

You need to check your spare to make sure they work :)

maybe try it on the hatch lock just to be sure, and pass door?

Thats a great idea,im gonna try it..

if you have key less entry (fobs) and dont use your key to get into your car regularly then your locks could be seized. Happens up here in canada all the time. My first X the door locks would not open with a key, cuz they were never used.

also once you get in the truck you can do a search on this forum and learn how to find your keyless entry code, then if you have the code this will never happen to you again :)

This is true and i did find the key pad codeit and it works well..but if the battery dies in the same boat..Come to find out all the key holes are frozen none of them will turn at all...isnt that kind of strange?..Do they need to be replaced or will spraying something in there work ?...ps:Thanks for all the help

I would get some graphite for the locks. Once they turn, it helps prevent them from seizing again. Also, to get the door lock code, If I'm not mistaken, you can take the driver side door panel off and there will be a set of number's printed on the door itself. That should be the lock code.

did the antenna trick work for you?.....
