ok so i've just been told that for my b-day i can get rims and tires. My question is(-i've just completed a TT-front and shackles-back) will 32x11.50 on 15x8 American Racing rims fit with just a TT and shackles? I know i'll have to do SOME trimming but if it's gonna be a pain i'll just go with 31x10.50? Any comments welcome-thanks in advance!

well i got 32's w/ tt/shackles/add-a-leafs and i did VERY little trimming. every X is different so if i can fit them doesn't mean you can so you'll have to break out the tape and measure to see if the wheelwell is large enough and if there is enough room for them. if there isn't enough room then go w/ 31's.

how many inches did you get in the rear from your shackles?-then how much lift did you get with your shackles+add a a leafs?-thanks

shackles got not even an inch for me b/c the leaf flattened out so i had to do the add-a-leafs to bend them back into shape and that got it to around 3'' w/ both and the tires give it another full 2''.

ok-well i saw what you had to trim and thats basically what i had in mind-nothing major. Hopefully i'll be getting the tires/rims within a week-thanks for the help i'll keep in touch if i have any more ?'s! thanks again.

In my '96 I had to cut nearly an inch of METAL. And it still rubbed sometimes. But it's worth it. So do it and if you need to do a body lift afterwards.. SO BE IT! :D

ya-i guess your right. I just checked out your truck and it's clean-i like it so i might just save and buy a b.l. in a month or so. because TT and shackles gave me about 2" front and back and if i get a b.l. then that will give me about 5" total-i'll be able to fit 32's no problem-with even more minimal trimming. thanks guys.

Hey Dave... checkin' out your pics (I have a '95 too) and I like your roofrack. Where'd you get it and how do you put it on? Is that a toolbox on the roof too?

section 525

Did you go with eight inch wheels, or 10 inch? I have almost three inch lift, now getting ready for three inch body lift. Give me a total of six inches, now for thirty twos, but not sure about width.

Let's bear in mind that a lot depends on wheel's offset/backspacing. If you get a wheel that really sticks out you're going to have to do some trimming. The more it's out, the more the trimming.

David stuck with the stock wheel and didn't have to do much, section525's are out a little farther and he had some trimming to do.

You can fit 32's on with very little trouble, you may get some rubbing, but nothing too bad.

Good luck with everything.

Thanks for the info, I may just stay with 15x8's for now
