Yes, the new ratio will be different from the original ratio. But why would we continually modify the complete intake by adding larger components if there wasn't a better result from having more air? Te only potentially detrimental side effect would be running lean. But the stock MAF back on would cure that.
Anyway, just thinking out loud.......Everyone's ideas work in theory.

I dont know that much about engine stuff but I just think that the computer needs to know how much air is coming in to adjust the amount of fuel or something. I'm not really sure what the difference between running lean or rich or whatever is but if anyone knows for sure if this will work I'd be interested.
