Winch and snatch block recovery video

Woah woah everyone. Calm down. I know tensions weren't all that high.. (lol. play on words!)

I'm glad you got yourself out, I have my own stuck stories of my own :D But back in my day.. we used rope and chain! :) J/k I'm not at all a vet. But No matter the situation I would have still toweled the middle of the cable :p:

Nice wheeling rig by the way  keep on rolling!:salute:

By the way, Was that a Hydraulic winch or an Electric?

yea ok... I do not understand along with Derocha

Why did you drag up a thread a few days old about a part of it that was well over a week old?

Ok, here you go.

And since I didnt see any other "inappropriate language" then I figured that must of been what he was talking about. It didnt acually bother me one bit, but I figured id give a sarcastic jab since he took one at me with the picture.

Im not going to stand and defend the picture, no it wasnt the best way to do things but we did it the best/safest way way that was an option at the time.

End of the story is that no matter how sure DeRocha was that the cable would hold he didnt know that for a fact, so there WAS a chance that it could break. Was it a big chance? Not at all, and im sure the winch wasnt working that hard at all. But since we are mere mortals we have no way of knowing things that havent happened yet.

Wouldnt you of felt stupid if your friend got his knees all messed up because you were 99.9% sure the cable would hold?

If you think im wrong, then prove it. If not, just drop this already caus im sure nothing going to change because of it.

Because I was reading some stuff and agreed with Derocha. So dont go complaining.

Not to pour salt in a wound or anything but something to keep in mind, everyone that has been hurt by a cable that snapped....didn't think it was going to, and didn't think it was THAT hard of a pull at the time....till they are in the hospital. Glad to see you got out without much trouble.

1st: My post on forum rules came about because of inappropriate content :censored: being posted. The inappropriate content was removed before most saw it. The forum rules post was just a reminder to those who posted it.

2nd: Safety is/should always be #1 so everyone advocating safety is correct. I will ensure any further winching video's highlight safety. I think we can all agree that we have beat the safety aspects of this video to death. :dead: As such we can put that subject to rest.
