Window Help!!

OK here it goes i had to work on my drivers side window it fell off track then the track broke so i got a used one and stuck it on there.That fixed my problem...

before i started i rolled all my windows down because it was nice out i finish up and go to put the windows up all 3 go up but the passager front.When i use the drivers switch to try to put it up i hear it clicking when i push the botton..now when i use the passager side bottons i hear the same clicking...

i then go ahead and stick my hand in the door on the motor and when i push the botton to put it up i hear/feel the clicking.It was workinjust fine i never had any problems with it.It was the drivers door window that was giving me hell now its the passagers side window..I can never win with the truck....
I even tryed to use little jumper wires from a good switch to the one thats bad maybe thinking it would work.NOPE

What Is going on with it?
What can i do to fix it?
Is there a way i can get the window up for temp as its down and i live in an apt building and my X has all my tools and sound system.

Please help now i have to worrie about someone breaking into my X and cleaning me out!!!!

I would take apart the drivers door again and make sure the wires at the back of the switch aren't crossed and the switch harness is seated firmly. Also, make sure no wires were crimped somewhere in your new installation.

Remember all the windows work at the drivers switch.

About the wires being switched i dont think so i never messed with any wires.

"Remember all the windows work at the drivers switch" i dont get that if thats the case why use switches on all the other doors then.

Could the motor still click but now work meaning its bad?
Can i take thwe motor out of one of my back doors and stick it on the passager door to see if it the motor?

Allright, you got to think about it like this. The drivers window switches controls all the other windows along with the drivers windows. So, if there is a problem with the drivers switch,,, like wiring or the like, this the passanger side isn't going to work properly.

I had a Mazda 626 and all the windows were qwirky at all the doors til I replaced the drivers side controller. Then they worked like they should.

Also, track back, what did you mess with? The drivers door panel and the likings. Therefore, if a problem happened that wasn't there before hand.... track back ands double check everything that was altered.

Anyways, just trying to help, I got more stereo equipment in mine then the trucks probably worth, so, I know how you feel when it comes to security.

My passenger side window does the exact same thing (at least it sounds like it.) However, if I either push up or down on the window while I have the button depressed, I can still get it to go up or down if I really need to. Maybe something simple like that would work just to get it closed for the night? Hard to tell without being there, you know.

ye i have tried everything..have not been asleep since it happened last night i am scared someone is going to clean me out..I cant get my passager window up for nothin o i guess i will try again when the sun comes up.

Can i use a motor from the back door to put it in the front passager door?

does anyone know how to install the drivers side main window switch? Do i have to cut the wires and splice the new one in? If i dont have to cut wires,Does the old ones come out of the old switch sumhow? Sorry for all my post but it would not let me edit the last one i sent.Help,Help,Help,Help...lol i am losing my marbles!!!

bump plz i really need to get it fixed..Can i use one of the back door window motors for the front passager side window untill i can get on?

Just a quick thought.....have you already pulled the motor assy off? I would try to operate the motor with it pulled off the window assy. This could just be an issue of the window assy just being stuck and the motor does not have enough 'rear end' to unstick it and push it back up. once it is off you might be able to plug it (electrically, not actually remove and replace the other motor assy with that one) into another door and verify it being a bad motor. If the motor does spin in either door, see if you can hold the gear then operate the motor to check to see if the motor is just worn out.

ok update..i finally got it fixed after 2 days and only 2 hours of sleep...now i can sleep safe knowing noone is going to clean me out..lol..

The Problem:
I live in an apt complex and there is alot of lil kiddies that run around and love going into peoples cars and cleaning them out..I have only lived here for 8 months and 11 cars have been broken into since then.Its bull**it weres the mom and dad at..Whats this world coming too.Well anyway i fixed my drivers side window yesturday and then after i got done my passanger window broke and wouldnt go up..Go figure thats just my luck.So with no window up meant no sleep had to guard my truck..I felt like a dog protecting a bone..lol i tryed everything untill i had to stop bec of dark..thats just day 1

Day 2:
i was back at it at 7am as the sun was rising worked all day.Pulled all the wires,fuses,anything man could think of.I finally got pissed and took the motor off and started to beat it with a hammer.(Sry i have anger issues when it comes to parts not wanting to work,my wifes tells me all the time,but i dont give up).Please people DONT try this as your fix you may break something!!I beat the H*ll out of it,then i figured what the hell for ***** and giggles lets plug it up and see if it works.And WOW HOLY CRAP it works..that just gos to show you a hammer can do nething..thank god i get to sleep tonight in a bed and not a Truck Seat.
