Window Switch Is Broken and Window Is Down

The driver's side window switch on my wife's 2002 is broken and the window is down (can't raise the window and I'm pretty sure it's the switch, pressing the up button doesn't have the same "detent" feel and sound all the other switches have, all other window work).

Can I jump some of the harness connections to get the window up until we're able to get a new switch?

I don't think anyone here would know which ones to jump.

I de-soldered the bad switch from mine and soldered in one of the other three in its place until I replaced it.

If you have a wiring diagram, it should identify which one goes to motor UP and motor DOWN, you might be able to jumper it long enough to get window up

Might be a long shot, but here is something to try. My back window has the same issue. Switch hasnt worked in about a year. Well the other day i accidentaly pushed it down and the window went down. Then i couldnt get it back up. I remembered that it went down while the key was in and partially turned to the accessory position (truck was not running). I tried putting the window up with the key in the same position and it worked. Not right away, i had to turn the truck on and off and put the key in and out a few times, but eventually i got the window back up. Give it a try as a last resort.

It was supposed to be raining this morning so that would have made a miserable drive to the dealership for a new part that may not have been in stock. Fortunately, the rain held off, the dealer had the part in stock, the window works and I'm a hero to my wife, again .
