Hey guys,
I'm having trouble figuring out where my windshield is leaking at or how to fix it.
Everytime I drive during rain or after it has rained the head liner or roof has water in it and when i stop it runs out on me and the steering wheel. I put some permatext on a spot where i thought it was leaking but no luck.
Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it and what fdid you do to fix it?
thx in advance.

I had a similar problem with my 89 Ranger. There was a hole in the solder seam at the edge of the roof. I fixed it using low visocity silicone to get into the small hole. You might look carefully to see if it could be leaking somewhere besides the windshield.

I had the same problem here in Hawaii. I just lightly sanded (#200) around the upper and side portion of the window frame to rough it up, then ran a small bead of silicone at the joint, then smoothed with my finger.

It's been working for several months. If it doesn't keep working, then I'm going to use a thin screw-driver to pry up the edge of the window seal, then fill in the entire area with either silicon or a marine grade sealant, like 3M #101 (if you use marine grade, 3M 5200 is almost impossible to remove).

I had a similiar leak that I lived with for a few years before I tackled the job. Check out my Leaky Windshield Repair thread.
